Donations

We wanted to give you an update about donations.

We do have a "donate" button in the works for the foundation we're contributing to, but hold onto your cash for now.

Because we have had SO MANY items donated and we want to auction off everything we can, we're working on another option.

Items will be bundled into categories such as signed books, advance reader copies, critiques, etc., and we will sell "tickets." We haven't decided on ticket prices yet, but they will most likely range from $10 to $20.

This will take place after all the main auctions are closed.

At least that's what we think - much is still in the planning stage SO NOT ALL DETAILS ARE NAILED DOWN - but we are working on it so stay tuned!

And thank you, we continue to be overwhelmed by your generosity.

Day 3 - Item 21

From author Toni McGee Causey: Signed copies of Charmed and Dangerous, Girls Just Want to Have Guns and When a Man Loves A Weapon; a "Shuck Me, Suck Me, Eat Me Raw" t-shirt (which Bobbie Faye wears all through book one); and a 25 page critique.

Day 3 - Item 20

From M.G. Buehrlen and Bria Quinlan: Winner will choose one item from their Romance Yardsale Shop - this stuff is HILARIOUS.

From C.J. Redwine: One registration for her highly successful Query Workshop. (It worked for Myra!)

Day 3 - Item 19

From author Sean Ferrell: An ARC of Numb (HarperPerennial, August 2010), as well as a handmade postcard with original art and a short-short that is set in the world of his next novel.

Where We Are

Yesterday we didn't have words.

Today, we've lost most gross motor functions and carry no hope of finding our cars in parking lots or remembering to put the cap back on the toothpaste. You say we owe you an email? We solemnly swear we're working on it.

We're plumb tuckered out, people. But that's okay.

Know why?

WE'RE ABOUT TO BREAK $9,000.

BECAUSE YOU ALL ARE AWESOME.

Carry on.

Day 3 - Item 18

From author C.J. Omololu: A signed copy of DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS and a small "shabby teddy" (plays a role in the book).

Day 3 - Item 17

Donated by author Cynthia James Omololu, a copy of WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON, signed by David Levithan and John Green.

Day 3 - Item 16

From author Rachel Hawkins, a signed copy of the UK edition of HEX HALL.
