$805. Hope it doesn't go to $1000, lol. That'll be a very expensive birthday present to myself

    ReplyDelete
  21. What? Amanda--you're still there? Well, having driven the price up another $285, I'm now very comfortable with you getting your birthday wish. (Can't speak for the others, unfortunately.)

    Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wow. Too rich for the birthday girl's blood. Good luck, folks.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi guys, just stopped by to see-- Holy crap! $1,300?! Is that Monopoly money? Are there hallucinogens in the Nashville floodwaters? (Put a bottle of THAT up for auction and you'll hit 6 figures.)

Well, all I can say is it's for a good cause. But for that kind of money, Mary Kole better use different colored pencils and make cool doodles in the margins of your manuscript. Raving about the writing would be nice, too... (Although, if that's included, I might start bidding again.)

    Carry on!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I can rave and I can doodle. I think notes might be more helpful, though. Thank you all so much for your bids...I can't wait to see what happens and am really looking forward to working with the winner!

    Mary

  38. yowza! I go out for a few hours, and look what happens! How cool is this?

I can't believe it... but here goes:

    $1575

    ReplyDelete
  39. I really wanted this critique, like everyone on this board. I want to wish everyone good luck. I'm sure Mary is so worth every dime and the money is for a great cause. I was willing to go to $1,500 - but I think I may be out. I will ponder for a few more minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  40. If I had the means...alas I do not. But I do have to point out that this price is still equivalent to 11 query letter pages. So. Still a bargain.

    Just sayin'.

    :P

    ReplyDelete
  41. wow... Good luck to the winner. *sniff*

Hey Mary, look for my query letter sometime down the road, it will begin with: RMFDTWTFN?
    Remember me from... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  42. you have a point Marybk... we do still have an hour. *pondering*

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thought I could sneak in a bid at the last minute - but found out that my hard drive recovery angel might be able to rescue 5 books I thought I had lost when it crashed. So as much as I LOVE Mary, I'll need to fork out to get back the books I could have sent. Glad to see how much everyone loves Mary and her feedback to get the bids so high, and for such a great cause.

    Good Luck Everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  44. What excellent news Angie!! Good luck :)
