Thank You, and Good Night

Your three hostesses are overwhelmed, amazed and eternally grateful for ... everything. We wanted to make the last items up personal, so, now up for bid:

~ Because books started it all, a book that means something special:

From Victoria - JONATHAN STRANGE AND MR. NORRELL by Susanna Clarke

From Myra - THE WIZARD OF OZ by L. Frank Baum

From Amanda - ELLA ENCHANTED by Gail Carson Levine

~ Because writing is what we do, a first chapter critique from each of us

~ Because it speaks the truth, the photo (taken by Matt Drewes) pictured on our banner, framed and signed with a personalized thank you

~ Because we're proud of you, a *Do The Write Thing For Nashville* t-shirt

~ And finally, because we appreciate you so much, if you're ever in our spectacular and resilient city of Nashville:

Lunch. On us.*

*includes cupcakes

With MUCH, MUCH more love than we could ever express,

Do The Write Thing For Nashville

  3. Just wanted to say it's been great following your blogs and seeing all the support people have had for books, authors, writers, readers, and the people of Nashville. Haven't had the chance to bid, since everything always goes way out of my unemployed price range, but it's been uplifting just following the excitement.

Bless you three for all your hard work, bless everyone who's made contributions, and thank you for those who have made donations.

Most everything zooms out of my price range, but I'm still bidding when I can. Saying that:
    $155.

  8. Yanno, Myra (and Victoria and Amanda, though you aren't on my speed dial like M is and haven't seen my hubby's cake work up close), if you want SPECIAL cupcake sculptures a la Clint to add as a bonus treat for this lunch, say the word. He can make something AWESOME.

  10. Because I hope Vermont writers will follow your example if a crisis like this ever hits here; because Howard Frank Mosher was here yesterday talking about his Nashville muse; and because I have been amazed day after day ... $250.

  15. You Ladies have done a wonderful job. Wish I could have helped, but am a Tennessee librarian out of a job. We had plans to go to Nashville in July. Am not sure what will happen now. We have non-refundable reservations. The place is next door to The Opryland Hotel and still claims it will be open for business. I don't see how, they are lower and closer to the river.

I am waiting to see what libraries in the area were damaged and what they will be doing to rebuild.
